Starting MLA Avionics

I'm building a Legal Eagle XL ultralight with a half-VW two-cylinder engine. The aircraft isn't built yet, but I'm planning ahead and want the panel ready when it is.

I wanted something like the big glass panels, made light and simple for an ultralight. That became MLA Avionics: a moving map, an EFIS and engine monitor on two 7-inch screens, ADS-B In, and a phone app as a backup.

It's built for Part 103 and VFR only, with a profile switch in case I register the plane as Experimental Amateur-Built. Most of the work so far is in software. I'll post progress here as the hardware and the airplane come together.
